What Selected Couples Receive

A limited number of couples will be selected to celebrate their love on the main stage of the Korean Cultural Heritage Festival. Each selected couple receives a full traditional wedding experience at no cost.

Legal Ceremony

A legally binding marriage ceremony officiated by a licensed officiant — your marriage is real and official.

Hanbok & Styling

Full traditional Korean wedding attire (Hanbok), professional hair & makeup, and ceremony direction provided.

Wedding Photography

Professional photography throughout the ceremony to capture every moment of your special day.

Sheraton Stay

One-night stay and dinner at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre as a wedding gift from KCHS.

The Korean Traditional Wedding (전통 혼례) is a highlight of the Korean Cultural Heritage Festival — a beautiful, meaningful ceremony that honours Korea’s rich matrimonial traditions on a public stage.

  • Main stage ceremony at the 24th Korean Cultural Heritage Festival in front of thousands of attendees
  • Mandatory rehearsal on July 17, 2026 (day before the event)
  • Couples must be legally eligible to marry in Canada
  • Selected couples participate in pre-event filming and social media content creation
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Selected couples will be contacted individually by the KCHS organizing committee.

ELIGIBILITY · 신청 자격

Who Can Apply

  • Both partners must be legally eligible to marry in Canada
  • Neither partner currently legally married to another person
  • Available for mandatory rehearsal on July 17, 2026
  • Available for pre-event filming and interviews
  • Willing to wear traditional Korean wedding attire (Hanbok)
  • Agree to photos and videos being used for KCHS promotional purposes

Please Note:

  • - Marriage license must be obtained prior to the ceremony (applicants may apply before obtaining the license)
  • - Previously married applicants must provide proof of divorce or widowhood
  • - Selected couples may be asked to participate in media coverage of the festival
